Stress Symptoms - Preteen & Teen

>> Monday, May 5, 2008

This is my last post on stress symptoms in certain age groups of children. For the symptoms in younger age groups, please see my previous posts.

Here are some of the known symptoms to watch for in the 12-18 year range:

  • Sleep and eating problems
  • Withdrawing
  • Depression
  • Rebellion (good luck figuring out if this is normal teen stuff or stress)
  • Grades fall
  • Recklessness
  • Wanting revenge

Please know your children. Watch your children. Care about your children. If you have any concerns, don't ignore them. Find help. Even if it turns out to be normal teenage angst, it is better to know for sure than take a risk with your child.
