Stepmom ECards & Poem for Stepmothers
>> Thursday, May 7, 2009
As Mother's Day approaches, I wanted to link you to a poem for Stepmothers for those of us who care for the children while they are in our care, the same or better than their biological mother, who may not be shown the appreciation while we watch it all go to the ex on this day. Here is a part of the poem:
"A stepmother hides the tears that she cries
When mother's day comes and then just slips by
With no card, and no hug, though she really feels sad
She won't let you see it, won't let you feel bad."
When mother's day comes and then just slips by
With no card, and no hug, though she really feels sad
She won't let you see it, won't let you feel bad."
If you are looking for an ecard to send to a stepmother, you can find them here.

Thank you! I am a mother to two, stepmother to two, adopted at birth and stepdaughter. My family is about as blended as it can get and yet I am still surprised at the labels and comparisons because one person feels they are more deserving of love because of DNA. Thank you for your blog and I look forward to reading more.
