Do You Vaccinate Your Kids?

>> Wednesday, October 29, 2008

The things parents are aware of now, as opposed to years ago, leads some to decide NOT to vaccinate their children. They believe vaccinations are harmful.

My personal opinion is that it is up to the parents. I know children who have and have not been vaccinated.

What are your views on this as a parent? Do you vaccinate? Why or why not?

Hubby & I do vaccinate our child. It was a tough decision based on all the information from both sides. Ultimately Hubby & I had to decide which was the right decision for our situation and our child. When I look at the facts I believe the chances of something going wrong due to the vaccinations are a lot less than the possibility of what could happen if she was not vaccinated. Do I still have concerns, yes. But honestly, what parent doesn't have concerns about any number of decisions you make. I think it comes down to a personal decision each set of parents has to make together based on what they fill is right for their child(ren).

I vaccinate my kids -- on schedule too and they've even had the Hep A vaccine.
It was a tough decision but I feel it is the best decision for my kids.
Now, things like the new HPV vaccine? No way.
