Grounded!! Muahahahahaha!!

>> Thursday, October 20, 2011

I'm downsizing my living room.  We have a small living room and HUGE entertainment center that holds our flat screen.  I need to look at tv mounts so I can move my entertainment center into the family room and put our television up off the floor to open up space.

Not that my kids will benefit from it just yet.  My two oldest are grounded from the television until further notice. I actually ground my kids. I think it's good for them when they deserve it. I'm an ogre that way.

Sunday News!!

>> Sunday, August 22, 2010

My stepkids will be here in six days for an extended weekend, when my stepson will eat us out of house and home (teenagers:) and we'll do a college tour for my stepdaughter.  My oldest daughter knows though she wanted it kept a secret from the younger three as a surprise for them.  It will be a HUGE surprise.  However, all they have to do is read my calendar on the fridge and they'd know.

Also in the news today, if you're a True Blood fan, Sookie and Bill got married in real life!!  Read about it here.

ER's Final Season

>> Thursday, June 18, 2009

If you missed the ER Season Finale, you're not the only one. I was one of those who did miss it but I haven't had time to sit and watch it. I stopped watching it several years ago (it was on for 15 years!). I always thought that I'd catch it since John Stamos joined the cast but never did. I wanted to see John Stamos in a lab coat. Many drooled over George Clooney in the beginning but I wasn't one of them. Being a Full House fan, I wanted to see John Stamos in the role with ER. I'll have to check it out online now here.

Army Wives Season Premiere Last Night

>> Wednesday, June 10, 2009

I watched the Season Premiere Sunday night of Army Wives on Lifetime. On last night's episode, Catherine Bell (playing Denise Sherwood) had to turn in her women's lab coats when she was fired for cheating on her military husband. If you want to see previous episodes, TV Guide has some of them on the Internet.

This is Season 3 but I just became interested in the show during Season 2. It is a pretty good show, involving the military lives of soldiers and their spouses. I usually watch it while working on my laptop. I'm not sure how true to life it would be since I'm not in the military but it is a good show to watch on a Sunday night.

Is Twitter for Sale? Seen on The View today.

>> Wednesday, May 6, 2009

Do you Twitter? It's the new thing to do, gaining momentum everyday, which is actually a big surprise to me.

On The View today (you know that show where most of the women gang up on one and argue - oops, I mean, debate - so much so that you can't hear what any of them are talking about. Like a bunch of angry birds squawking at each other...hey, they're twittering at each other. OK, bad joke.

Back to The View, Biz Stone, a co-founder of Twitter, told audiences today that Twitter is not for sale. Apparently, rumors abound that Google, Microsoft, and others are wanting to buy them. That's right. Hang onto it long enough, Biz, so the price goes up nice and high and then you can retire young. Good going, Twitter owners! With the popularity of Twitter increasing, the sale price can only go up, at least for now. Boy, I wish I had the knowledge to do something like this.

If you'd like to follow me on Twitter, follow me and send me a tweet!

Flat Panel TV Stands

>> Sunday, February 8, 2009

Have you given in and bought your husband a flat panel television yet? I haven't yet.

My husband has been hinting (not really "hinting"...more like whining) for a flat screen television for the last couple of years. He saw them in Japan before they'd even hit the states so I've had to deal with the "wanting" for much longer than most, unfortunately. His parents just bought one so that increased the volume of his requests. I didn't tell him that my sister did too.

If I agree to this, it changes my whole living room because then I will need the type of tv stands they make for these types of televisions instead of my big armoire that I absolutely love. My compromise to that would be if he gets his flat panel, then I get all new furniture for my living room.

I can compromise!

Chelsea Lately

>> Monday, April 7, 2008

Chelsea Lately is coming on in ten minutes. This show makes me cackle like a loon. The first 15 minutes are hilarious around the roundtable. The last half is when she interviews a guest and that can be great or not so great depending on who or what they're doing, but it is definitely worth checking out.

Chelsea Lately on E!
Chelsea Handler

You can also check out videos on YouTube.

This isn't "step" related but it is a nice half hour of laughs so you can forget blended family chaos for a short time.
